This Privacy Policy explains how Offer Napkin ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email address associated with that account.

Listing & offer information

If you create a Deal Room, we collect the property address and listing details you provide. If you submit an Offer Napkin, we collect the offer terms you enter (price, contingencies, closing date, financing details, and similar) and any links to external documents you choose to share (see Section 4).

Usage information

We automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, for the purpose of operating and securing the Service.

2. How We Use Information

• To operate the Service — creating accounts, Deal Rooms, and Offer Napkins, and connecting buyers, buyer's agents, and listing agents.
• To generate comparison summaries of offers for listing agents.
• To communicate with you about your account, offers submitted or received, and service updates.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service, including detecting abuse or fraudulent activity.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your listing or offer data for advertising purposes.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only as necessary to operate the Service:

• With listing agents: when you submit an Offer Napkin, the terms you enter and any linked documents are shared with the listing agent(s) managing that Deal Room.
• With service providers: we use third-party providers for authentication, hosting, and email delivery (for example, Google Firebase) who process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
• For legal reasons: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Offer Napkin, our users, or the public.

4. Third-Party Links & File Storage

Offer Napkin does not host, store, or have access to the contents of any files you attach to an offer. Instead, you provide a link to a file stored on a third-party service of your choosing (such as Google Drive or Dropbox). You are responsible for managing the privacy and access settings of any file you link to. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or security of files hosted by third-party services.

5. Cookies, Tracking & Offer Link Monitoring

We use minimal, functional cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate core features of the Service. We do not currently use advertising or marketing tracking pixels.

Offer link monitoring: if you use a shared Offer Napkin link (including for properties not listed on Offer Napkin), we may record when and how many times that link is viewed, so the sender can see its status. This monitoring is disclosed to anyone viewing such a link before or as they access it — it is never hidden or silent.

6. Data Retention

We retain account, listing, and offer information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in Section 8.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect information you provide. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, and share;
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions;
• Correct inaccurate personal information;
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information);
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice.
